Jennie Clegg

Jennie is one of the founding members of Marcus Clegg. Jennie achieved prominence in the Maine legal community at an early age. This has been earned by long hours, an unwavering devotion to her clients and their interests, and the ability to document and close a commercial transaction at near warp speed without compromising her thoughtfulness or attention to detail. Jennie’s competence is combined with a well-refined sense of urgency that tells clients that their matters are important and have priority. Jennie is a 1988 graduate of Yale Law School.  She is rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell.

Brendan Barry

Brendan is a cum laude graduate of the University of Maine School of Law where his curriculum focused mainly on real estate law, business and corporate law, and tax law.

Brendan was awarded the Faculty Award in the area of tax law for his studies as well as for his work as the tax law student research assistant.

In the past, he has worked as a licensed title insurance agent for one of the major title insurance companies in New England and his practice has since focused on commercial real estate transactions.

Brendan is a member of the Maine State Bar Association.

John Galley

For decades, John Galley was a
Real Estate Attorney licensed in
Illinois and Wisconsin.He was the owner of an Exchange Intermediary Company and owner
of a Title Insurance Agency. He is a cum laude graduate of Dartmouth and received his law
degree from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Kathryn Porter

Kathryn joined Marcus Clegg in 2017 and has over 12 years of experience in the legal field.

Kathryn is the firm’s corporate paralegal and assists with real estate and business transactions.

She is a value-driven paralegal with experience successfully supporting and managing the caseloads of multiple attorneys.  Her skills include adeptly navigating the management of client deadlines, communication among parties, drafting documents, preparing filings and maintaining corporate records.

Prior to joining the firm, Kathryn was an assistant in the legal department of a large financial institution processing subpoenas and doing legal research.
